Spring LookBook

Spring this year so far has been very confusing, we had a week of pure sun that was almost summer weather and now we are back to the windy British spring weather.  My favourite time of the year is when I can get my blazers, trench coats and loafers out, which is Spring and Autumn.  That is my most comfortable time of year and when I get the most wear out of my clothes and feel my most stylish.  Before each season, I always search on Pinterest for outfits I really like and find a cohesive style.  I look at my style icons and influencers to help me with this and see what I have in my wardrobe and if I can recreate any of the looks I like.  My 8 looks that I have picked for this Spring look-book are all looks I have taken strong influence from the 90s, from Ralph Lauren, The Row and from my favourite influencer @cocobeautea.  I will try my best to link similar items below, but all of the pieces have either been in my wardrobe for years or I have thrifted them from vintage stores.  I may love a designer accessory, but I love a bargain and I love vintage and the thrill of the hunt and the find!

LOOK 1

This first look I was inspired by an outfit I saw on Pinterest and recreated it using pieces I already owned.  I love a double denim look and throwing over a tweed blazer gives it a Ralph Lauren vibe.  I am obsessed with wearing socks with loafers right now and the key thing here is the colour of my socks match my blazer, to tie it all in.  This bag gives it a super chic look and is a dupe for the baby margeaux bag from The Row.

LOOK 2

This look is really simple, it's just loafers, jeans, t-shirt and a suede coat, but the key thing is the tones of browns all tie in really beautifully and make it a very cohesive tonal look.  Brown is still very much the colour of the season!!  This suede trench coat was a great find from a Charity shop, it's old Karen Millen!

LOOK 3

I love how Parisian and chic this outfit looks, but it also reminds me of The Row with the oversized shirt tucked in the oversized trousers without a belt and sticking out of the trench coat sleeves.  Also, the ballet flats with sheer tights is very The Row and gives this look an edge.  This is a Burberry trench coat that I picked up on Portobello road in the vintage fashion market and it is so special to me.

LOOK 4

I saw this look on TikTok and was able to recreate it super easily as I already owned similar pieces.  I have been really enjoying the done up blazer look with jeans, I have worn it in several different ways this Spring.  I have also been really enjoying throwing a jumper over my shoulders, it just elevates a look and acts like an accessory.

LOOK 5

This is a very 90s inspired look with the black turtleneck, the collared leather jacket and the thin sunglasses.  This almost looks vintage, but I couldn't find one that wasn't super wrinkled, so I managed to find this one on H&M in the sale for £20!.

LOOK 6

This gives me so much Ralph Lauren vibes and the shirt actually is Ralph Lauren, which I picked up in Bicester village.  I love the way the collar is popped over the blazer, which I got from Vinted and these Zara jeans I've had for so long, but I think they have a vintage shape.

LOOK 7

This brown suit screams 90s Julia Roberts. she was so good at wearing the best shaped suits and she always inspires me.  I have dressed it down with trainers here, but I would wear ballet flats with it also to dress it up and give it more of a 90s feel.

LOOK 8

I love this Parisian vibe and I am showcasing the butter yellow trend here that we have for Spring/Summer.  I like the different vibe of the wide leg jeans, which I don't wear very often and then paired with the linen blazer and the butter yellow bag and Mary Jane flats.
