2020 - The Autumn Look Book
This Autumn, we may not be able to do the things that we used to and might not have the occasions to dress up for, but I believe that is exactly why we should. We should be making ourselves feel good in any way we can. I am definitely buying more clothes than I was before, because seeing those parcels come to the door is bringing me so much joy in these difficult times. So has pinterest..... so I have looked up some of my favourite pinterest looks and shopped them for you! If I don't mention that the item is from somewhere else, then it means I bought it on Asos.
1) Look 1 - Leather leggings. These were a big trend about 10 years ago and to be honest I could never get on board with them. This time round though I definently have! I have teamed mine from Mango with a Jaegar white shirt and a cropped jumper.
2) Look 2 - The Linen Blazer. I talked about this look in my Blazer Edit a few posts down, but I thought it deserved a mention in the Autumn look book. I think this look is so effortlessly chic. It's so simple and would blend into any scenario whether it was work or an evening event. Mine was from H&M.
3) Look 3 - The jumper dress. There is nothing more cosy than a big jumper dress, although it is definently for the colder Autumn days. Pair with leggings or tights for the perfect dinner outfit and you don't have to be afraid of indulging!
4) Look 4 - The silk skirt. This is a piece that can be styled several ways - with a leather jacket or with a simple t-shirt and blazer. I have opted to wear a chunky knit jumper the same colour as it's a look I have seen a lot and really admired. It looks beautiful in the pale colours, but somehow I don't trust myself, it would be ruined in seconds. The maroon feels far more Autumnal.
5) Look 5 - The midi cardigan. I had a midi and a maxi cardigan a few years ago and I loved them, but the nice thing about this season is they have buttons so you can tie them up like a dress or a trench coat. You don't even need anything underneath it other than a T-shirt and leggings. I have worn mine with chunky lace up boots and a felt fedora hat to give it a trendier look.
6) Look 6 - The one tone look. This is my favourite look out of the lot. So practical for office to evening wear if you swap with heels. It's also the most comfortable outfit going with no pinching tight fabrics! There's something about everything being the same colour that makes it look effortless.
7) Look 7 - A good jumper. This jumper is from Asos and is a classic rust colour for Autumn. Any good jumper will look chic with a good belt, Jean's and bag.
8) Look 8 - The chunky boot. This Auumm/winter it seems to be all about the chunky black boot. I have worn mine with many of the above looks. If like me you don't suit the really clumsy chunky ones, you could go with the slightly simpler lace up ankle boot.
9) Look 9 - The bermuda short suit. This pretty women look is something I have been striving to find for years. I think the little dresses for events are out, they would be the last things I would want to wear for a party or even a wedding. If you want to stand out and look different, this is the look! The blazer was Asos and the shorts Shein.
10) Look 10 - The leather jacket. I love the mix of any girly dress with edgy black boots and a biker jacket.
