Most women in the Roller derby teams are mothers and husbands with jobs during the day, then by night they strap on their skates. These women whizz around an indoor track at high speed and smack into eachother! The aim is for each team to get their 'jammer' around the track first- the scoring player who earns points by lapping members of the opposing team whilst the remaining team members try to stop her by almost any means necessary.... vicious!! Sounds like rugby on roller skates to me. Good way to get all your anger out after a tiring day! What a fantastic sport :) They wear quads instead of roller blades as it's a retro game and they'd need a bigger track for the speed of roller blades.
